Lussari 24
Lussari 24 marks the big return of 2027: we're back to Monte Santo di Lussari and, this year, we say goodbye to the most loved distance of recent editions, the Pellarini.
It's a leap into the unknown, because expectations for the Pellarini were sky-high: a course we love a great deal and plan to bring back in future. This year, though, we want to change things up, introducing a distance with very particular characteristics, all about speed and views.
The first part, climbing to Monte Santo Lussari, is almost road-like: it runs mostly on gravel, forest roads and stretches of paved military road. Anyone with the legs and lungs for it can run from start to finish, tackling almost all of the race's ascent at a run.
Once at the summit, you descend like a torpedo along a route that crosses ski slopes and woods: soft, stable ground, but one that demands attention and focus, and that only the most experienced can tackle at high speed.
From here you reach Valbruna, before climbing gently again for another 4 kilometres to the finish at Kile Alpine Resort: a race with views from Monte Santo di Lussari opening up over the whole of Val Saisera. Discover Monte Santo Lussari →
A different approach
Cutoffs and maximum times are also designed with fast hiking in mind: here, the journey counts as much as the clock. Less support along the course, more self-sufficiency required — it's a choice, not a shortcoming.

Via Saisera 65, Malborghetto-Valbruna (UD): the logistical heart of the Alpe Adria Ultra Trail, deep in Val Saisera.
The Race Hub is in Val Saisera, not in the centre of Valbruna village: right in the forest, in true trail spirit.
Event parking is free, outside the resort, about 150 metres away: follow signs P3, P4, P5 and P6 — P6 is the closest, P1 and P2 are further away. Motorhomes and vans use the same car park as cars.
On the valley road, the local cooperative's private checkpoint is confirmed again for 2027 (hours and prices to be finalised): it's a service separate from the organisation — event parking stays free.
