Winter Trail
No ski pistes, no lifts: just Val Saisera and Val Dogna under real snow, on 7 February 2027.
01 Running on real snow
Val Saisera and Val Dogna have never developed ski pistes or any other form of winter tourism: when our races run in winter, they run in an environment completely immersed in nature and snow, not among ski lifts. Where the track is snow-covered, it's groomed by snowmobile: a wide, scenic trail, not an improvised path.
02 The gear: microspikes
On Dogna 25, Saisera 18 and Grego 8 microspikes are mandatory. On Valbruna 10 they're only mandatory if the organisation announces it the week before the race — without that announcement, they're not required. Any other gear adjustments (based on snow, ice and weather) are always announced in the days immediately before the race: the pre-race announcement always has the final word.

03 Four races, four ways to be on the snow
Dogna 25 is the most unpredictable: a stretch of nearly 16 km that's paved road in summer and, in winter, can be entirely snow-covered or only for the last 6-7 km, depending on the year — almost a road race, or an extreme trail run entirely on snow.
Valbruna 10 runs the entire Winter Wild Track, a single track that crosses the whole valley from the centre of Valbruna to its highest point.
Saisera Crossing 18 combines the speed of Valbruna 10 with the adrenaline sprint and climb of Grego 8, crossing the whole of Val Saisera point-to-point.
Grego 8 is the most immersive race: two valleys in one, from Val Dogna to Val Saisera, through a hushed landscape at the foot of Montasio, with views towards Mangart and Monte Santo Lussari.
